FullView/3270 provides cross-system terminal access from SPARC-basedworkstation into an IBM System/370 environment. It emulates an IBM 3278-Model 2 terminal. FullView/3270 makes IBM resources available to userswithout cluttering their desks with multiple terminals, or insertingcommunications hardware into the terminal network.FullView/3270 software on the SPARC-based workstations is responsible forterminal output, and converting Sun datastreams to LU2 3278 Model 2terminal output for the System/370. FullView/3270 can bind to any VTAMapplication in an SNA network. Similarly, FullView/3270 users can accessa VM system and log onto any CMS application. Users can also dial out toother VM and MVS systems in the network.FullView/3270 is a flexible program designed to accommodate a variety ofneeds. Its terminal definition utility allows users to define terminaloperational parameters, such as scrolling and insert mode. ASCII-EBCDICtranslation is handled transparently, and includes support of 8-bit ASCIIfor international character translation.
